Salthouse Catering is proud to announce that Jake Stone has been promoted from the position of Sous Chef to become Salthouse’s first Chef de Cuisine.

 Jake has been a valuable part of the Salthouse Catering team for almost 5 years and deserves accolades for his strong work ethic, positive attitude and commitment to excellence.  

His flexibility during difficult and challenging times speak volumes about his character.  We feel lucky to have him as part of our work family and look forward to watching him grow in this position.  

Chef Jake found his passion for cooking early on through his family. While living in North Carolina, he would spend time watching his grandmother, who cooked over an open hearth, and his father, a Master Beekeeper, who packages and sells his Wagram Apiary honey. His interest in the kitchen grew the more he learned about the hard work and dedication that farming requires for quality ingredients, and he has an ever-evolving enthusiasm for understanding every step of the cooking process. 

Jake continuously shares his talent and dedication to the craft of cooking with his staff, and is always ready to answer questions, or solve a problem with patience and a “can-do” attitude. He keeps a few things close to his heart, including pork belly, ice cream, and most importantly, his beautiful family. As a father of three, Jake has plenty of practice balancing tasks, keeping things organized, and leading a large team with a smile. He has an incredible capability to make things happen, no matter how big or small. 

With a background in fine dining, and a deep awareness of the meaning behind farm to table, Chef Jake brings an optimistic and creative approach to cooking and designing catering menus. The love he shares with his family is something he also brings to the kitchen to share with his staff, and to all the guests who get to enjoy his delicious catering creations.  Give Jake a virtual high five when you see him again and check out his updated bio on our website.
