The year 2020 has brought a lot of change, new guidelines, and new ideas. We know for many people, wedding planning went from exciting to frustrating to impossible in a matter of days. However, just because the big day that was dreamed of might be altered now, there are still plenty of ways to create an intimate, beautiful wedding day through Covid times and beyond.

Salthouse Catering is thrilled to be working with the talented group at Intrigue Events and contribute to The Lovely Elopement

Intrigue has created The Lovely Elopement to be, “the ultimate no-stress experience for you and your beloved to plan your intimate wedding. Uniquely, we curate our packages with romance, beauty, and decadence in mind.”

Each package offered through The Lovely Elopement includes planning and design, ceremony directions, music selections, vendor selections, and much more. In addition, package add ons including, welcome bags, hair and make up, and weekend itineraries can be requested. The venues range from secret garden to gorgeous veranda, all while maintain that Charleston charm. There’s no doubt the backdrop to your ceremony will be perfect.

Salthouse has created a new Elopement Menu with unique snack boxes, picnic platters, and desserts. Each snack box includes a generous portion of bites such as meats, cheeses, local seasonal fruits and veggies, and even a kids box for the littlest wedding guests.

Even if an Elopement style wedding wasn’t what you initially had in mind, the planners at Intrigue are ready to make a new dream into a reality, “... envision a wedding backdrop lush with floral, beautiful lounge furniture for ceremony seating, and a walk down the aisle to your favorite song. Next, picture yourself as you cut into a decadent cake perfect for two, share a bubbly champagne toast, and have gourmet bites before you head to your favorite Charleston restaurant. Now, imagine attending your perfectly planned mini soiree at a shared cost.”

We know celebrating during a pandemic feels like an uphill battle, but the teams at both Salthouse Catering and Intrigue Events consider safety a top priority. You won’t need to worry about a thing on your special day, “We put the safety of you and your guests first. Therefore, staff adheres to proper CDC guidelines. Before and after every wedding, the venue, restrooms, and all surfaces exceed the sanitation standard. All service staff is masked and hand sanitizing stations are available for guests and staff.”

Salthouse is committed to the health and safety of our employees AND guests and are taking every sanitation precaution in the kitchen, and on site, and can promise the highest of health and safety standards for you and your loved ones.
