Salthouse was so excited to cater the wedding of Emily and Tim at Alhambra Hall! The theme of this wonderful affair was a mix between rustic and classic. Filled with a color theme of blush, gold, navy, and gold accents the venue sparkled with charm. Emily said that the most important thing was having “an opportunity to celebrate with our family and friends with a fun party with good food”.

Our hope is that we made this wish a reality! Our menu for the wedding reception was perfect for the event. We started with hors d’oeuvres directly after the ceremony. One of the biggest hits were the mini crab cakes with Remoulade and roasted red pepper relish. Additionally we served braised beef short rib with potato puree and Parmesan Gremolata and soup butternut squash soup shots.

After this delicious course the guests migrated to the upstairs part of the reception and enjoyed one of our favorite things- the hors d’oeuvres stations. There was a cheese and charcuterie display filled with an assortment of imported and domestic cheeses, jams, cured hams and sausages. The next station was a Lowcountry shrimp and grits delicacy with local shrimp, bell pepper and creamy grits.

Following some samplings and socializing, there were two options of chef presented plates for the guests to choose from. The first one was a vegetarian option of mushroom ravioli with shaved Brussels sprouts and a special chef’s sauce. The second option was another Lowcountry delicacy of Country Fried Chicken with smoked cheddar mac-n-cheese and bourbon brown sugar gravy.

All in all, it was a delicious, and wonderfully festive evening for Emily and Tim! One of out favorite things at Salthouse is creating these types of nights and events for our clients! We are so excited that we got to be apart of another wedding and look forward to more in the future!
