WATER BALL 2014
We were thrilled to be apart of Charleston Water Keeper’s 5th annual Water Ball. The philanthropic event raises money and awareness to fulfill the Water Keeper’s mission to protect and restore local waterways, ensuring the public’s right to clean, local water for drinking and recreation.
Executive Chef Todd Mazurek joined forces with the likes of Graham Dailey of the Peninsula Grill and Stuart Tracy of Butcher & Bee to prepare food inspired by Charleston’s waterways. Our speciality light and refreshing hors d’oeuvres ranged from sweet and salty bites such as local strawberry canapé with feta and foraged yarrow, to a PB&J-inspired foie gras mousse with our housemade apricot jam and cashew butter on toast. Guests also enjoyed Clammer Dave’s Littleneck Oreganata, which are miniature clams on a half shell topped with savory bread crumbs, garlic, lemon, and parmesan.
The night got off to a romantic start as a jazz ensemble performed during the sunset over Charleston harbor. The ideal location overlooking the Ravenel bridge made for a formal affair with low country style.
