Staff Spotlight: Rachel Malecky
Rachel Malecky joined the Salthouse team in 2016 as Assistant Operations and Event Manager, but since her start, she has assumed many roles, and worn every hat.
Rachel currently works as our Operations Manager, and general office angel. The Salthouse Team is so lucky to have her tenacious spirit, and keen ability to adapt as we grow!
We sat down with Rachel to chat about some of her favorite things about working in catering, and especially working on the Salthouse Team.

Favorite Salthouse Appetizer:
The Pork Belly Crisp is definitely one of my favorites! The Tempura Okra is a close second!
Favorite Salthouse Station:
Mac and Cheese Bar!! Make sure to get extra fried shallots!

Ideal wedding menu items:
Caprese Salad (with balsamic pearls), Surf and Turf (with Filet and Shrimp Skewer), and late night french fry cones with Garlic Aioli!
Best part of the job:
The amazing group of people I get to call my Salthouse Family!
Best part of an event:
When all speeches and food are done and the party actually gets started. I love seeing all of the guests out on the dance floor having a great time!
What sets Salthouse apart?:
We’re such a tight knit group of people that genuinely care about each other, and the impact our company has on our clients most important days. Our thought process is pure and honest; not necessarily always about the “likes.”
Tip for staying organized:
Always have a plan of attack ahead of time so you can delegate tasks efficiently!
Tip for leading a team:
To always lead by example. If you remain calm and organized, so will your team.
