Salthouse Turns TEN!

It seems like just yesterday that Chef Todd and I were taking the leap of faith to start our own catering company.  We had a few weddings booked, leased a warehouse and began a journey that would challenge us to grow and learn more than we could have ever imagined.  Looking back, we are incredibly proud of the thousands of successful events we’ve executed, the vital relationships we’ve made with our preferred venues, vendors and planners but most of all, we’re most extremely proud of the team we’ve built.

The Salthouse family grew slowly over the years to become a team of dedicated professionals who work hard to bring exceptional experiences to our clients and their guests despite the challenges that off premise catering can present.  From remote locations and issues with equipment to inclement weather and staffing shortages, our team pulls together for each event, supporting one another along the way.

In an industry where turnover is rampant, we’re proud to say that most of our management team have been with us for many years.  We strive to make Salthouse a great place to work where people enjoy fair pay, creative perks and various incentives.  We’re excited to have promoted our first General Manager and Executive Chef from within to hardworking, deserving individuals who’ve both been with us for over 8 years.

While farm fresh full-service catering will always be the foundation on which our company was built, we are exploring new ways to bring Salthouse to you.  We hope to increase our capacity for events and expand our reach with the Gourmet to Go program.

Todd and I are so excited to see what the next decade holds for Salthouse Catering.  We are grateful for the opportunities we’ve been given and for the support of the local event industry.  We couldn’t have survived the decade without our friends, families and most of all the team of hardworking individuals who make the dream work through teamwork each and every day.
