We’™ve had a busy past few months at Salthouse Catering“ getting our new kitchen ready and hosting a ton of tastings! But we’re never too busy to lend support to select local causes. Here are a few events we’™ve been proud to be a part of in the past few months:

Salthouse was pleased to sponsor a special cocktail hour with passed hors d’™oeuvres featuring seafood from local oceans & creeks for Charleston Waterkeeper’™s Annual Waterball at the SC Aquarium.

Charleston Library Society’™s Night in Monte Carlo was an evening of gambling, fundraising and food. We’re happy to help one of our favorite historic venues raise money and awareness.

When asked to be part of Grow Food Carolina’s Summer Harvest Party, we said YES! Chef Todd took the best of the season right from their coolers and made magic for the guests celebrating Grow Food Carolina

Charleston County Park and Recreation Commission opened a new venue West Ashley called Old Towne Creek and Salthouse was there to cater! We were excited to be part of the Showcase unveiling the space to local planners, vendors and event minded folks.

We’re proud to partner with the Charleston Symphony Orchestra’™s Remix group for a series of events this year. The first was held at the Redux Art Center and guests were treated to hors d’oeuvres, a quartet performance and amazing art all around.

SHE Charleston – the ultimate girl’s weekend – was held at the North Charleston Convention Center. Chef Todd Mazurek offered two cooking demos featuring Farm to Fork Catering. Guests enjoyed our Boiled Peanut Falafel with Fregole Salad“ some eating these ingredients for the first time!

And just last week we were supporting South Carolina Sustainability Institute at their Superhero Soiree at Hibernian Hall. Guests were dressed to save the world and enjoyed raising money for the cause. Salthouse offered our North Carolina Pork Rillette with Apple Butter and Pickled Quail Egg. Chef wouldn’t wear his superhero cape said his chef coat made him a hero all by itself!

Next up for us is the Red Party for the College of Building Arts at the Old City Jail. This annual event is always popular and should prove to be a great time for everyone. We’™re excited to be sponsoring the VIP area with a variety of hors d’™oeuvres.

We’ll end the charity season with two events in support of Lowcountry Aids Services. Salthouse will be on site at the new Belk Men’s Store in Mt. Pleasant for a sneak preview hors d’™oeuvres reception in November. We’™re looking forward to a special Casablanca themed party to cap off a day of “Shopping with Friends” to raise money and awareness for this organization.

Salthouse knows how important these non-profit groups are to our community and are committed to supporting these organizations. Please remember to support these charities and those who donate to them.
